It had been a loooong day! My Godfather, Archie passed away, we had friends and family day at church, and we were having Sunday dinner at the house with the family as usual. We ate and talked about Archie's life and basically added some sunshine to an otherwise rainy day. At the end of the night after everyone had left we were sitting at the dining room table talking and playing on the computer. C.J started playing a playlist of our songs he had made and asked me to dance. I thought he was trying to cheer me up...but he started talking about how much he had enjoyed knowing me; he said he couldn't imagine life without me..Still, I had absolutely no idea that he was proposing, so when he got down on one knee I was so shocked....Needless to say my answer was yes!!!

I had been trying to propose to her all day! So much was going on. Jamie's God father had just passed, that day we had friends and family day at church and I was a nervous wreck! How was I going to do this? I tried to slip the ring in her drinking glass, but I couldn't do it smooth enough. I tried to take her on a walk by the water, but her dad needed a ride to his car and it started to rain! I could not hold the ring in my pocket for another second!! I made a playlist of our songs on her computer earlier that day and   started playin gthem after all the guests had gone on home. I asked her to dance with me and started to tell her how I felt about her. She always told me she didn't want an audience watching her proposal ..she thought it should be private. I hoped I was doing it right. Nervously I got down on one knee and asked her to do me the honor of being my wife, she said yes!
